“Music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart.” If Pablo Casals were alive today, he would no doubt revel in this evening’s entertainment, a musical and culinary feast of the tropical treasures of Latin America and Africa.
Ozzie Rivera’s Orquestra La Inspiracion is a musical pleasure cruise from the meringue and cumbia of Latin America to the infectious rhythms of Afro-Caribbean jazz. Driven by the conga drums of Rivera, this 10-piece ensemble is guaranteed to get your body shaking and your soul aching for more. The irresistible beat of the drums and harmonic hooks of the horn section combine to create el baile del amor itself.
If the dance of love leaves you hungry for more, that’s what the intermission’s for. The evening’s enticements include a gourmet Latin feast prepared and offered with love by Palmer Woods’ own Eva Garza Dewaelsche. If Orquestra La Inspiracion cooks up a tropical feast, our guests can expect no less from Eva, a true cocina diva.
