The last weekend in June, enjoy three unique jazz performances featuring diverse styles ranging from Afro-Caribbean to bebop and beyond. The music is inspired by the sounds and rhythms from north and south of the equator, Africa, the heartbeat of Jazz Town Detroit, and from the creative composing and improvisational skills of some of our area's great talents. The concerts will be held on June 24, 25 and 26, under the stars and in the summer sunshine, beneath a tent set in the gardens of the Boreman-Redstone Abode, a special Palmer Woods home. A portion of the home will be open to tour, and the son of Louis Redstone, the architect who designed the home, and/or our Palmer Woods historian will discuss the architecture, history and design of the home. Each event will include a delicious buffet of wonderful food, desserts and beverages. |
